Who is responsible
Yours To Drive is currently an independent pre-launch project developed by Matthew Butcher. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].
What the preview stores on your device
The interactive car-search preview uses browser storage to keep saved searches, search history and recently viewed demonstration listings on your device. This information is not attached to an account and is not intentionally sent to Yours To Drive. You can remove it with the in-app clear controls or by clearing the site data in your browser.
Demonstration advert enquiries
The enquiry form on an example advert is a demonstration only. The form does not submit your name, email or message to Yours To Drive or a dealer, or save those fields in site storage. Please use made-up test details and do not enter sensitive information. Real buyer enquiries remain disabled in the public preview.
Website delivery and security information
The website is delivered through Cloudflare. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare processes technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, requested URL, browser details, time and security signals. This processing supports the legitimate interests of making the website available, reliable and secure.
Privacy-first website analytics
Yours To Drive may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page use and performance. Cloudflare states that this product does not collect or use visitors’ personal data and does not use cookies for this measurement. The preview does not use advertising trackers or behavioural advertising cookies.
When you email
If you contact Yours To Drive, the email address, name and information you choose to provide are used to answer the enquiry, handle a correction or discuss a possible dealer/data relationship. The lawful basis will normally be legitimate interests in responding to a requested conversation or steps connected with a potential agreement. Messages are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, record-keeping and any resulting relationship.
What is not collected through the preview
- No public accounts are created.
- No vehicle adverts are submitted.
- No payments or card details are accepted.
- No finance applications or buyer leads are sent.
- No precise location permission is requested.
Sharing and processors
Information is shared only where needed with service providers used to operate communications and hosting, or where required by law. It is not sold. Current providers include Cloudflare for website delivery and Zoho for the project’s email service.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal information. Contact the email above to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
This notice will be updated before accounts, advert submission, buyer enquiries or other personal-data features are enabled. Material changes will be dated on this page.
